in this blog I will try get more information about carving art, especially borneo carving art. My focus is more to ancient weapons what they call a parang, is mean sword or chopper or mandau. There are various type of parang also the other name for parang according to the ethnic such as melayu, melanau, dayak, penan, orang ulu and more. This Borneo ethnic have they own skill making parang and also carve the blade, hilt and scabbard of parang. There are more about this topic in my next post.
